What, you may be wondering, exactly have I done to deserve another hiatus so soon after the first? Well, Desert Talon is over, and those three weeks away from home took more out of me than I thought they would. I'll be honest: I figured I'd have an easy time of it, since it's designed for pilots who've never gone to Iraq and I'd been there and back again. But, lo and behold, it was decided that I would get my section leader qualification during the exercise. So to work I went, flying in the dark every other night and planning every other day until I got the qual. Between that and fighting a fun case of identity theft (NOTE: do NOT send anything to my Hotmail account or Facebook until further notice), I'm beat. I will be in Texas for the next week taking a long-overdue break from my squadron and spending long-overdue quality time with my family. See you in the New Year.
