Man of the Year
Time magazine has long since forfeited its right to choose a "Person of the Year", even before Vladmir Putin made it onto its cover (last year, if I recall, was "You". And "Me". And I'm pretty sure You and Me never saw a penny of the royalties for such an auspicious award). So I'm more than happy to vote that the Telegraph's pick for that title is far more worthy: Gen. David Petraeus. One can only hope that the success he's achieved will let this country resolve its problems enough that next year, we can hand the award to the Iraqi people.
